The Tide is riding high, but it can't get caught napping against an upset-minded Bulldog squad that is much improved from a season ago. As kickoff nears, let's take a look at five storylines that will help shape the outcome.

Did anyone see this coming? Last year Alabama rolled to a 12-0 regular season record, in great part because of the running of Glen Coffee. The junior carried 233 times for 1,383 yards (5.9 per carry), averaging just under 100 yards per game. It was not a shock when Coffee decided to turn pro.

I'm angry with new basketball Coach Anthony Grant. Angry is probably too stong. But no matter what Mal Moore said in an e-mail to supporters this week, a 1:00 basketball tip in Tuscaloosa does not leave time for the trip to 6:00 kick at State post-game. Unless you'd like to arrive in the third quarter after parking in Columbus. Next time, play the game on Friday, Coach. That's what Mississippi State did! It says here they beat Rider 88-74 last night.
