The Alabama basketball team avoided a Syracuse-like disaster in its first exhibition game on Wednesday night, beating the Montevallo Falcons by a score of 81-53. The game marked the debut of new Alabama basketball coach Anthony Grant, as well as a new scoreboard at Coleman Coliseum.
