NCAA Regional softball action gets kicked off today at the Alabama Softball Complex. Follow all the tournament action including live stats and live video here on Rolltide.com.
Due to inclement weather, Thursday's baseball game between the University of Alabama and the University of Georgia is now slated to begin at 8 p.m. (EDT) at Foley Field in Athens, Ga.
Five members of the 2008 Alabama Softball team were named Louisville Slugger/National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-South Region on Thursday.
The University of Alabama mens golf team is off to good start at the NCAA Division I Mens Central Regional, led by senior Mark Harrells 1-under 70.

LSU, Arkansas Win 2008 SEC Outdoor Championships
New NCAA-mandated limitations on college baseball programs filtered down to the high school level this year, even though many high school coaches were unaware of the new rule changes.
As a senior last season, Ivan Matchett was the heart and soul for the Mobile-St. Paul's 5A state title team. The 5-10, 210-pounder rushed for 2,054 yards and 25 touchdowns. With the Tide in search of anyone who can break tackles, don't sell Matchett short when it comes to early playing time.
"He's got outstanding athletic ability," says Provine head coach Willie Collins. "He's got good speed [4.5] and outstanding leaping ability. Most schools are recruiting him as a free safety. But he could probably play quarterback, too "
Clint Moseley, Scout.com three-star quarterback from Leroy, (Ala.), has grown accustomed to winning. He helped the Bears win the Class 2A championship in football for the second consecutive year and pulled off the same feat in baseball. Moseley talked about the title as well as updated his football recruitment.
L.J. Abrams, Scout.com three-star offensive tackle from Madison-Bob Jones, (Ala.), has received a couple of scholarship offers from in-state programs. He's eager to impress college coaches when he hits the summer camp circuit.

Outfielder Brandon May and designated hitter Alex Avila earned first-team All-Southeastern Conference honors and two other Crimson Tide baseball players were recognized by the SEC when the league released its annual awards on Tuesday.
One of the interesting things about Ross Wilson is that before he arrived at Alabama, people felt like they knew him. They watched him on TV, saw him go through (relatively little) drama with his girlfriend, and felt for him when Hoover lost in the state football finals. All on a really sappy MTV show called, Two-A-Days.
The Crimson Tide football team signed eight highly-recruited prospects out of Mobile this year, and according to Gentry Estes in today's Press-Register, all eight will be academically eligible to enroll at Alabama in June.
