Chris Warren scored 25 points and Dwayne Curtis chipped in 24, including a pair of decisive free throws with 16 seconds left, as Mississippi beat Alabama 91-88 on Saturday.
The Alabama women's basketball team (8-20, 1-12 SEC) will play its final contest on the regular season as the Tide travels to Nashville, Tenn. to face the No. 23 ranked Vanderbilt Commodores (21-7, 10-3 SEC). For the second week in a row, the fifth ranked Alabama Gymnastics team came from behind on the last rotation to beat a top-5 team, this time upsetting the No. 3 Florida 197.225-197.125 here in Coleman Coliseum. Alabama used a season-best score on the floor exercise to overcome a quarter of a point deficit to beat the defending Southeastern Conference Champions.

The No. 20 Alabama men's tennis team improved its overall record to 10-3 on the season and 2-0 in the SEC Sunday as it rallied back in dramatic fashion to top the Arkansas Razorbacks 4-2 at the UA Varsity Courts. The Crimson Tide won the doubles point and then lost the first two singles matches to give Arkansas a 2-1 lead early in the afternoon before the Tide came storming back.

University of Alabama senior utility player Jordan Praytor was recently selected by the New England Riptide of the National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) Softball League in its annual Senior Draft. Praytor, a two-time All-Southeastern Conference selection (2006-07) and a 2008 Preseason All-American by ESPN.com, was taken with the 22nd selection overall in the fourth round of the draft.
The National Association of Basketball Coaches has voted Alabama's Richard Hendrix to its 2008 All-District 6 First Team. All-District players make the ballot for All-American voting.
