Junior guard Camilla Blands recorded a career-high 20 points and freshman forward Tierney Jenkins poured in 19 to lead the Alabama women's basketball team to a 63-54 victory over Jacksonville State Saturday afternoon from Coleman Coliseum. The win marks the third in a row for the Tide as Alabama improves to 6-7 overall.

The University of Alabama football team wrapped up its first week of bowl practice with a two-hour session in helmets, shoulder pads and shorts Saturday morning at the Thomas-Drew Practice Facility.
On the heels of the updated Rivals100 that was released this week, the Rivals250 was also reevaluated and made public on Friday. As with the Rivals100, the new Rivals250 was dotted with represented not only with athletes from the state of Alabama, but Crimson Tide commitments.
Alabama has played in more bowls (55) and has more bowl wins (30) than any other Football Bowl Subdivision team in NCAA history. Here are some highlights of the Tide's illustrious bowl history.
Woodlawn lineman Undra Billingsley dominated the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball this season and while the big man flew under the radar this season, those who saw him in action on the field learned just why Nick Saban are looking forward to having him on the field in crimson.

Two nonleague wins could boost Alabama's resum come NCAA selection time
TUSCALOOSA -- Mike Johnson didn't mind moving inside to guard and letting Antoine Caldwell start at tackle against Auburn, but he feels a lot better about Caldwell at center.
TUSCALOOSA -- Alabama went through a two-hour workout on Friday, using its third day of preparation for Colorado much the same way it would hold a Wednesday practice during the regular season.
After two victories in the Findlay Toyota Las Vegas Classic, Alabama's basketball team now travels to Sin City to play the final two rounds of the tournament.

This is a slightly different problem than what we encountered just five years ago when we simply begged random passers-by to accept a full scholarship to Alabama if they agreed to attempt to play football. This past month, left tackle Andre Smith has been named first-team All-SEC by both the coaches and writers, and was co-winner of the Jacobs Award as the conferences best blocker.
