High school prospects talk of time in Tuscaloosa.
The SEC a few minutes ago just released a composite schedule for the 2008 football season. (I'm not sure if there was some last-minute scheduling recently completed but it's set now).
So this should make for some must-see sports. Apparently Alabama coach Nick Saban and former star quarterback Ken Stabler are teammates in the golf tournament associated with Chick-Fil-A. They'll face off against other pairs from other schools.
Some things, we know Alabama coach Nick Saban hates to talk about (see the previous post). Other stuff, he not only loves to expound, but also sounds like a professor doing it. That was the case yesterday when he was asked about several of the rule changes for the 2008 season.

Alabama held its final spring football workout at Thomas-Drew Field on Monday in unseasonably cold weather, using the 15th practice to review Saturday's A-Day game.

VESTAVIA HILLS - The No. 1 Alabama softball team couldn't manage a hit in a 7-0 defeat against the USA Softball National Team Tuesday night. The exhibition at Liberty Park in Vestavia Hills does not count against Alabama's record, but was an opportunity to grow and compete.
Tide to compete in first session at NCAAs The Alabama gymnastics team found out Monday that it will compete in the first of two preliminary sessions at the 2008 NCAA Championships and will start things off on the balance beam. Along with the other permanent captains for 2007, center Antoine Caldwell described being honored at Denny Chimes as "a dream." Like all before them, Caldwell, safety Rashad Johnson and linebacker Darren Mustin got the opportunity to imprint their hands and cleats in the cement around the famous monument.
During spring football practice, sometimes the execution is lacking. Players may be a little rusty, assignments are missed, and overall, things just aren't as crisp. Apparently, that applies to the crew in charge of enshrining the permanent captains in the cement walkway outside Denny Chimes as well.
Now comes quiet time.

The Alabama men's tennis team moved up three spots to No. 19 in the national rankings, but they will need to move up three more to host an NCAA Regional. The top 16 teams in the nation host Regionals, and just like last year, Alabama is currently on the outside looking in.
